Cops probe after ratchet knife found inside female inmate

February 11, 2026

A shocking discovery has triggered a police probe after doctors reportedly found a ratchet knife concealed inside the body of a female inmate following a medical emergency.

Police say the woman, who was in custody at the Four Paths Police Station, complained on February 8 that she had not had a bowel movement for several days and was experiencing severe pain.

The matter was brought to the attention of the officer in charge, and the inmate was transported by service vehicle to the May Pen Hospital for medical treatment.

Upon arrival, she was registered and later taken for an X ray examination.

Medical personnel were reportedly stunned when the scan revealed what appeared to be a three star ratchet knife lodged in her genital area.

The discovery prompted immediate medical intervention and doctors performed surgery to remove the object.

Following the procedure, the inmate was taken to the hospital's Accident and Emergency Department where she remained under observation.

It is understood that investigators are now trying to determine how the object came to be inside the inmate's body and whether any security breaches occurred while she was in custody.

Police say investigations into the disturbing incident are ongoing.
